Ingredients:  
1 1/2 c. luke warm water
2 T. yeast

Mix for 5 minutes

add: 3 c. flour
1 T. sugar
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Add bottom mixture gradually to water, knead in remaining flour. Divide into 20 pieces, roll into snakes and form. turn into pretzel, bunch tops with mixture of 1 egg and 1 T. water. Bake on cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 425º
