For cake:
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 c. sugar
3 large eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. peeled, cored, chopped fresh apples
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 c. raisins
For glaze:
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
For cake: Preheat oven to 345º. Cream oil, sugar and add eggs one at a time. Beat well. Add flour salt and baking soda. Mix well. Fold in apples, nuts and raisins. Pour into greased Bundt or tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 hour or until tester comes out clean.
For glaze: in a sauce pan, melt butter, add brown sugar, salt, and stir in milk. Boil slowly (on medium-low) for 10 minutes stirring constantly. Add vanilla extract. Cool slightly and pour over warm cake.
