"When I'm at a Chinese restaurant having a hard time with chopsticks, I always hope that there's a Chinese kid at an American restaurant somewhere who's struggling mightily with a fork."--Rick Budinich

5 chicken breasts
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
3/4 c. ketchup
1 tsp. salt
5 c. rice
1/2 lb. bacon
6 green onions
1 c. cooked ham, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1 pkg. frozen peas
1 tbsp sugar
3 eggs

Slice chicken breasts into 1 inch strips. Roll in flour and brown in fry pan with 4-5 tbsp hot oil. Place in baking dish. Meanwhile, mix sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup and salt together in bowl, heat in microwave 2 min. or until sugar is dissolved and pour over chicken. Cover with foil / Bake at 350 for 30-45 min. This sauce is also good on the fried rice so set some aside. Meanwhile fry bacon; crumble and set aside. In the bacon drippings, stir-fry onions, peas and ham until tender. Add salt and sugar. Scramble eggs, breaking into small pieces. Add all the ingredients to rice and add soy sauce to taste. Serve with the chicken.
