1 pkg. strawberry, cherry, or lime jello
2/3 c. hot water
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. white corn syrup
Red or green food color

Directions:
Make 2 or 3 days before serving.
Line 8x8x2 pan with waxed paper. In saucepan, over low heat, dissolve jello in hot water. Add 1 c. sugar and stir until dissolved (do not boil). Stir in syrup. Transfer to bowl, refrigerate until slightly thickened. Beat at medium speed, beat about 5 minutes or until it starts to mound. Add food color to desired color. Turn into prepared pan and refrigerate.
On serving day.
Turn jello mixture, waxed paper and all onto board heavily dusted with sugar. Moisten waxed paper by rubbing lightly with a dampened cloth. Let stand for a few minutes, then peel off paper. Sprinkle sugar on top of candy. Cut into 1 inch squares. Roll in sugar. Refrigerate leftovers.
