3 c sifted flour
3/4 tsp soda
1 c shortening or oleo
1 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla or lemon
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
4T milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour with baking powder, soda, and salt. Cut in shortening as for a pie crust. Beat eggs, add sugar, milk, and flavoring. Combine with dry ingredients and blend well. Form dough into a ball. Chill. Roll thin, cut and bake 10 to 12 minutes or until brown at 350º.
FROSTING
2 c powderd sugar
2 T shortening
1 T milk
Plus food coloring
