3/4 c. sugar
2 T. cornstarch
1/2 tsp.. salt
2 c. milk
1 well-beaten egg
2 T. butter
1 tsp.. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan. Mix together then add chocolate and milk. Heat gently until mixture begins to bubble. Cook 2 minutes after that. Remove from heat. Temper beaten egg by SLOWLY adding small amounts of hot pudding while mixing constantly. Return tempered egg mixture to saucepan SLOWLY while stirring constantly. Cook 2 minutes more. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter. Serve warm or cold.
