Wafer: 1 c. soft butter
1/3 c. thick cream
2 c. flour

Filling: 1/4 c. soft butter
3/4 c . powered sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix well butter, cream and flour. Chill. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll out 1/8" thick on floured board. Cut with 1 1/2" cookie cutter. Roll only 1/3 of dough at a time and keep rest refrigerated until ready to roll. Transfer to waxed paper heavily covered with sugar. Coat both sides. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Prick with fork 3 times. Bake 7 to 9 minutes (shouldn't be brown). Cool & put 2 cookies together with filling.
