1/2 cup minced onion
3 tablespoons butter
1 tsp. chives
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
2 large ripe avocados
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt, pepper and cayenne to taste
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onions in butter until wilted, and sprinkle your choice of spice for five minutes. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for five minutes longer.
Peel avocados and mash well. Put in blender with 1 cup of chicken broth and onion mixture and blend until smooth.
Place all of the ingredients in a pan and stir in the remaining broth and lemon juice. heat slowly, but do not boil. Add the salt, pepper and cayenne to taste.
