1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. crisco
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. flour
3 c. oatmeal
1 11-oz. bag butterscotch chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the shortenings and sugar. Then add the eggs, vanilla, salt and soda & beat until smooth. Add the flour and mix well, then beat in the oatmeal. Stir in the butterscotch chips with a wooden spoon.

If you prefer cooked cookies, bake at 375 for 12 to 15 minutes.

This is my mom's recipe for oatmeal cookies, but instead of pecans or raisins, I put butterscotch chips. Heavenly. And perfect for Fall.
