1 load day old French bread
3 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup flour
6 TBS brown sugar
1/4 c butter, cut into bits
Syrup
Powdered Sugar, optional
1 cup fresh blueberries or raspberries, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Grease a 9x13 pan. Slice bread into 1 inch slices. Place in baking dish. In a bowl, lightly beat eggs, milk, cream, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour over bread, turning slices to coat well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 375º. In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter until crumbly and sprinkle over bread. Sprinkle berries over sugar mixture if desired. Bake for 40 minutes or until brown. Cut into squares, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm with syrup.
