Ingredients:
Beef brisket, trimmed
Lipton Onion Soup mix
bottle of Heintz Chili Sauce
can of coke

Directions:
Directions:
Rub brisket with liquid smoke (if you have it), and season with salt and pepper. Place in heavy pan; sprinkle meat with one packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix; then pour one bottle of Heinz Chili Sauce over meat; next, pour one can of Coke over meat and in bottom of pan; cover tightly with aluminum foil, and bake in 300º oven for 40 minutes per pound. After it cools, skim fat off of gravy, slice layer of fat off, and cut meat across grain in thin slices.

Personal Notes:
It's so easy, because once you put it in the oven, you never have to check on it. Just be sure it is tightly covered. I usually serve this on Christmas Eve. It makes great sandwiches also--put on bun with mayonnaise and tomato. If gravy is too thin, cook down on top of stove in pan for a few minutes. Make sure to buy a "trimmed" brisket.
