2 to 3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup of sugar
4 T. of self-rising flour
3 eggs yolks
3 cups of milk
1 t. of vanilla flavoring
1 box of vanilla wafers
Meringue: 1/4 cup of sugar and 3 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Separate yolks from whites. Combine sugar, flour, and salt in boiler. Mix egg yolks in. Let boil about 5-7 minutes. Stir in milk. Cook uncovered, constantly stirring until thick. Remove from heat; add vanilla flavoring. While cooking pudding, slice bananas and layer with wafers in a cooking dish. Pour pudding over bananas and wafers.
Make meringue: Beat egg whites stiff then gradually add sugar. Beat until mixture forms stiff peaks. Pile on top of pudding. Bake in preheated oven at 425 until meringue is brown.
