"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Directions:
Measure and set aside dry ingredients (chicken base, parsley, Italian seasoning, black pepper, crushed red pepper, and parmesan cheese) in a small bowl. Measure and set aside wet ingredients (whipping cream, wine, and water). Cut butter into small pieces and melt slowly over low heat (do not let it brown). Add garlic and let it sweat for 2 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients and let simmer for approximately 10 minutes. (Optional - Slowly whisk in sifted flour and bring to a light boil for desired thickness).

Cook pasta according to instructions on the package, add salt to water to taste. Strain and set aside. Cut chicken breast into strips. Season chicken with pepper, garlic powder, salt, Italian seasoning, and ranch dressing. Allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes. Cut bell peppers and onions into thin strips. Coat the bottom of a skillet with olive oil and allow to heat. Quickly sauté onions and bell peppers and remove from pan. Do not fully cook. Add chicken to the same pan and brown on each side. (Optional: Coat chicken in seasoned flour and fry in same pan). Return onions and bell peppers to pan along with minced garlic and prepared sauce. Simmer for approximately 5 minutes.

Place pasta in center of dish and pour ¾ of amount of pasta sauce desired over the pasta. Place 3 – 5 strips of chicken and some veggies on top of the pasta. Pour remaining ¼ of sauce over the chicken, veggies, and pasta. Garnish with a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley and serve.
