2 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 stick chilled unsalted butter cut into 1/2 " cubes
1/2 c chilled Crisco or lard cut into 1/2 " cubes
5 T or more ice water

Directions:
Directions:
Blend flour, sugar and salt in processor. Add butter and shortening, using on and off turns, blend until mixture resembles coarse meal. Transfer mix to a medium bowl and add ice water a tablespoon at a time until mixture beings to clump together.Gather dough together and form into 2 disks, flatten and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate one hour or more. When ready roll out on floured covered board, transfer to pie plate. Only prick crust if you are not filling and baking at the same time.
