Bring to a boil in a small saucepan:
3/4 cup water
1 stick butter
With a mixer beat in:
1 cup flour
salt
3 eggs-beat one in at a time

Dough will be kind of glossy and rubbery. Heat chicken broth or water in skillet with a 2 inch piece of celery (with leaves is best) and 1 green onion (optional). Drop by teaspoonful into slowly boiling liquid; cook for 7 min uncovered and then cover and cook 8 min more.
