1 recipe basic sweet roll dough
4 cooking apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1.4 cup butter, melted

Directions:
Butter two 8' or 9" square baking pans. Divide dough in half: press into the prepared pans. Press apple slices into dough, rounded edges up. Combine sugar and cinnamon: sprinkle over apples. Drizzle 2 tbsps melted butter over top of each cake. Cover; let rise in warm place until doubled. about 30 min. preheat oven to 350ºF. Bake 40-50 min. or until apples are tender and tips well browned. Turn onto wire rack and cool.
