16 slices day-old bread, torn into 1" pieces
2 Cups Sugar
4 Egg's
3 Cups Milk
2 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp Salt
2 T Vanilla Extract
1 Can (21 oz) Apple Pie Filling, slices cut in half
2 Cups coarsely chopped Pecans (optional)
1 Cup Golden Raisins
3/4 Cup Butter/Margarine, melted
Whipped Cream or Vanilla Ice Cream (optional)

Combine bread & sugar into large bowl. Set aside. In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, cinnamon, salt and vanilla until foamy. Pour over bread and sugar in other bowl and mix well.
Cover and refrigerate 2 hours. Stir in all other ingredients, except Whipped Cream/Ice Cream. Pour into greased 13 x 9 pan and bake at 350º for 45-50 minutes or until firm. (Usually use a knife, inset in middle and when it comes out clean, it is finished!) Cut into squares. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or your favorite vanilla bean ice cream!
