24 pieces of chicken (breasts, legs, and second joints)
Butter - enough to brown chicken
3/4 pound sliced mushrooms (ok to use canned,drained)
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can mushroom soup
Sherry or white wine to taste (about 1/4 cup)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the chicken in butter. Then brown mushrooms if using fresh ones. Place chicken in large casserole, mix soups(undiluted) and pour over chicken. Place mushrooms on top. Refrigerate. When ready to bake, add wine, cover casserole and bake at 350º for 1-1/2 hours

Note: I brown the chicken in the oven. I brush the chicken pieces with butter, and set the pan on the oven rack close to the top and bake at 450 degrees until chicken is brown.
