Preheat oven to 375° second day.

CREAM:
1/2 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

BEAT IN:
1 egg

STIR TOGETHER AND MIX INTO ABOVE:
1 and 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

DIVIDE DOUGH IN HALF.

INTO ONE HALF OF THE MIX PUT IN 1 OUNCE SQUARE OF MELTED BAKING CHOCOLATE. LEAVE OTHER HALF PLAIN.

MAKE 2 POCKETS OF WAX PAPER 12in. BY 10in. PLACE FLATTENED DOUGH INTO EACH AND ROLL OUT TO FILL UP THE POCKET. OPEN UP WAXED PAPER. BRUSH ONE LAYER WITH MILK AND LAY THE OTHER ON TOP OF IT. PEEL OFF THE TOP PAPER. ROLL UP. REWRAP IN THE WAX PAPER, LABEL, AND CHILL IN REFRIGERATOR.

NEXT DAY:

SLICE THIN. BAKE ON UNGREASED PAN 8 TO 10 MIN.
