1 flank steak 1/2 - 2 lb
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 Tbsp veg oil
2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
1 or 2 garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbsp mince fresh ginger
1/4 tsp hot sauce
1 can (12 oz) beer

Directions:
Directions:
Trim visible fat from steak.
Combine soy sauce, oil, brown sugar, onion, garlic, ginger and pepper sauce. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Put steak in plastic bag, pour mixture over steak, Place bag in a shallow dish (in case the plastic leaks). Pour in the beer. Seal and refrigerate overnight.
Remove steak, discard marinade. Cook on preheated grill, turning only once.
Slice across the grain into strips. Serve immediately. Also good cold.
