2 lbs. hash brown potatoes (frozen)
1/4 C melted butter (optional)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 T dried minced onions (add a dash of water to them before
using, let sit a few minutes to soften).
1 pint sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 cups corn flakes

1. Defrost potatoes.
2. Mix all ingredients together, except corn flakes.
3. Put in a greased (Pam) 9x13dish
4. Sprinkle with 2 cups of corn flakes
5. Pour 1/4 cup of melted butter over flakes (I omit this and find them just as good).
6. Bake for 1 hr. at 350

You can add the cornflakes about an1/2 hour into the baking if you like.
