2 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortning (I use cold butter)
2/3 to 3/4 cup cold milk

Directions:

In a bowl combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening with pastry thingy, add milk.

Roll out, cut with biscuit cutter or a glass, place on cookie sheet and bake at 375-400 for 15-20 minutes.

Momma's biscuits are one of my favorite things she made. They are kind of tricky; I do really well about every third time I make them because I always forget what the secret is. Of course, I don't remember what it is right now. Something about not over-stirring or handling. If done properly, they turn out fluffy and flaky. Yumm...
