1/2 tsp. pepper
dash allspice
1 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. milk

Directions:
Mix meat, onion, rice, egg, pepper, salt, allspice, milk and bread crumbs. Shape into 2" balls. Place in large casserole dish. Peel and dice potatoes and place them around the meatballs. Mix together the remaining ingredients and pour over all. Cover and bake at 350º for 1 1/2 hours. Note - I sometimes add some fresh carrots along with the potatoes for color and even some frozen green peas. Test the doneness of the potatoes. May need to bake a little longer than called for.
