½ large sweet onion
2-3 Tbs butter
¾ cup all-purpose flour
2 ½ tsp double acting baking powder
1-2 Tbs sugar
¾ tsp salt
1 ¼ cups cornmeal
1 egg
1 cup milk
Tabasco hot sauce to taste
1 cup cream style corn
1 cup dairy sour cream
¼ tsp dill weed
½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
¼ tsp salt

Directions:

1. Fry:
½ large sweet onion
2-3 Tbs butter
2. Sift together:
¾ cup all-purpose flour
2 ½ tsp double acting baking powder
1-2 Tbs sugar
¾ tsp salt
1 ¼ cups cornmeal
3. Mix cooled butter from step 1 with:
1 egg
1 cup milk
4. Mix results of steps 2 and 3. Add:
Tabasco hot sauce to taste
1 cup cream style corn
5. Take onions from step 1 and add:
1 cup dairy sour cream
¼ tsp dill weed
½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
¼ tsp salt
6. Place results of step 4 in greased 9X9 baking tin. Spread results of step 5. Sprinkle with more cheddar cheese and paprika.
7. Bake at 425oF for ½ hr.
