3 lbs. ground beef or hamburger
1 lb. ground pork
1 (3 lb.) head cabbage
1 large chopped onion
3/4 c. rice
3 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix beef and pork well. Add salt, pepper, diced onions, and rice. Pour boiling water over cabbage leaves (makes it easy to wrap meat in cabbage). Wrap meat mixture in drained cabbage leaf. Roll up and stick ends. Place in large kettle or in crockpot. Put about 1 cup of water over them and boil. Cook on low temperature for about 2 hrs. It takes a little longer in crockpot. They can also be baked in the oven at 325 degrees for 2 hrs.
