1/2 lb sliced bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 cup chopped onion
2 cups chopped potatoes
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 cup water
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cup milk (I use 1/2 and 1/2 cream)

TO MAKE INTO CLAM CHOWDER
1 cup clam juice in place of water
2 cans chopped or minced baby clams

Directions:
In 3 qut. sauce pan cook bacon over medium heat until browned. Add onions, continue cooking until tender 2 to 3 minutes, drain. Add potatoes, water (or Clam broth), salt and pepper. Continue cooking until potatoes are tender, about 15 to 20 minutes. Reduce heat to low, stir in soup, sour cream and milk or 1/2 and 1/2 cream. Continue cooking stirring occasional until heated through (DO NOT BOIL)
If making clam chowder add clams with last ingredients.
