4 pieces cubed steak
1 beaten egg
1 T. milk
1 to 1-1/2 c. saltines, finely crushed
Cooking oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Gravy

Directions:
Directions:
Stir beaten egg and milk together. Heat oil in a large frying pan. Dip meat into egg mixture and then coat with crushed crackers. Fry in oil over medium heat until golden brown on each side. Season to taste. Transfer meat to an oven safe plate and keep warm in the oven.

Gravy:
Reserve 3 tbsp. meat drippings or add butter if needed. Add 3 tbsp. flour. Stir and cook until bubbly. Add 1-1 1/2c. milk. Stir continuously and cook until thickened and bubbly. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve over meat.
