2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Place in a large bowl shortening and sugar. Cream together until blended. Add the vanilla and eggs one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Next mix the cocoa and hot water together. Add this to the main mixture and stir. Now add in the baking soda and the baking powder. Mix well. Add in half of the flour and stir well. Next add half of the flour, stir again. Add half of the milk and stir. Repeat flour and milk additions stirring well after each. Grease and flour a 9x13 pan. Pour cake batter into the pan. Bake in a 350º oven for 30-35 minutes.
