1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar.1tbsp baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
31/2 - 4 c. fresh fruit
1 c. light brown sugar

Melt butter in 8x12 baking dish or tin
In mixing bowl blend flour, 1 c. sugar, baking powder
Blend in vanilla and milk
Pour batter into butter
Sprinkle brown sugar over fruit
Bake at 350F for 1 hour or until brown

If you use canned fruit, drain well and use less sugar on top.
You can use regular sugar on top, but I prefer brown sugar.
