2/3c. shortening
1 1/2c. sugar
3 eggs
3 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. sifted cake flour
1c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 square unsweetened chocolate
Boiled frosting
1 square semi sweet chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Melt unsweetened chocolate. Divide cake batter evenly in 1/2. To the one half add melted chocolate., pour into 2 greased 9 inch layer pans. Bake in a 375 º oven for 30 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from pan, cool on a wire rack. Spread frosting between layers and on top and sides of the cake. Melt semi-sweet chocolate; drip on top and sides of the cake.
