Apple Pecan Salad Recipe

Mix together the following:
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. red pepper
3/4 cup milk
2 egg yolks beaten
Cook about 10 minutes and stir in 1/4 cup vinegar and 1 1/2 tsp. margarine. Let cool

Add the following:
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup raisins
3 medium apples, chopped

Mix well and chill before serving

Serve salad on lettuce leaves, if desired
