Buy at least a 20 lb turkey

Clean and defrost the turkey
Empty the cavity
Paper towel dry
Put salt in the cavity

Prepare stuffing. We use Brownberry sage and onion and add celery and onion. Per Stephanie, you can also add a little bit of apple.
Stuff the turkey. Bake any extra stuffing in a baking dish with added broth or water
Coat outside of turkey with butter mixed with Crisco and a little bit of salt

Bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes
As soon as the turkey is a little tan, cover and reduce heat to 350 degrees until internal turkey temperature is 165 degrees.
