3 c. rhubarb
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. water
1 1/2 c. quick oatmeal
3 T. cornstarch
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter
1/2 box sm strawberry jello
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
To make filling cook first 4 ingredients until thick. Remove from heat & add the vanilla & jello. Stir. Let cool. To make crust combine flour, oatmeal, br. sugar, soda, butter, shortening, & nuts. Put 3/4 of mixture in 9 X 13 pan. Pour cold rhubarb over crust. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Bake 30 minutes at 375. Best when served cold.
