2 c sugar
1/4 c light corn syrup
1/2 c water

1/2 c heavy cream
2 tbs butter
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
mix sugar, syrup and water, bring to boil over medium high heat, stir just until sugar is melted. cook, swirling pan until mix is light amber and a candy thermometer registers 320 degrees. (you might not notice the color change until you remove from heat) remove from heat. slowly add cream, butter, vanilla and salt. return to low heat and whisk until smooth. Let cool until thick enough to coat back of a spoon, dip apples then roll in desired toppings. Jon's favorite is sprinkles, Jeff likes roasted nuts, Mama GG likes them plain.

Jon's favorite snack to get at the fair. He loves them so much he convinced me to make them at home. They are suprisingly easy
