2 cups wine (Carlo Rossi Piasano Brand)
1 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
6 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 heaping tsp. baking powder (use a regular silverware
spoon)
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup honey

Directions:
Directions:
Boil wine and oil rapidly for 5 minutes. When cold, add eggs and blend well.

Make a hole in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour wine mixture and vanilla in the center and knead to a stiff dough. Roll pieces of dough to 1/2 inch around. Cut in 2 inch pieces. Deep fry until golden brown. Drain in a colander.

Warm the honey in a pan and add cookies a few at a time to coat with honey. Place on a dish to cool.
