Cake:
2 c sugar
3 eggs
3 c flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
2 tsp vanilla
3 large tart apples cut into small pieces
2 c chopped pecans
1 c oil

Directions:
Directions:
Use small amount of flour to coat the apples and set aside. Combine oil, sugar and eggs. Beat for 3 minutes at medium speed. Add flour, salt, soda and vanilla. Fold in apples and pecans. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 325º. When cake is done, let it cool in pan for 20 minutes before removing. Pour sauce over cake while it is still warm

Sauce:
1 stick margarine 1/2 c light brown sugar
2 Tbsp milk

Combine and boil for 2 minutes. Pour over cake and it will soak in.

The cake may look done after 50-60 minutes, but let it cook the full time.
