1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup fine bread crumbs
¼ cup wine vinegar
1 T dry mustard
1 ½ tsp dried parsley flakes
½ tsp thyme
½ tsp marjoram
½ tsp ground cloves
1 bay leaf
1 whole ham
1 ½ cup white wine or
vermouth

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except for bay leaf, ham, and wine; mix thoroughly. Place ham on bay leaf in roasting pan. Spread herb mixture over ham. Pour wine in bottom of pan; cover. Bake at 300 basting frequently until tender. (Minutes per pound depend on whether ham is pre-cooked or not and with or without a bone. Follow instructions with ham. Boneless ham gives about 4 servings per pound; bone-in ham gives 2 ½ -3 per)
