2 eggs beaten
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter melted (1/4 cup)
1 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon extract
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Mix in order given, adding sugar gradually to beaten egg, adding sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk and extract. Roll very thin on floured board. Cut in diamond shapes about 3 inches long. Cut 1 inch slit in center and pull one end through; turn to form a twist. Fry in hot fat turning as soon as they come to the surface. Drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
