3 cups flour
3 tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1-1/4 cups vegetable oil
2 cups cooked mashed plain pumpkin
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

In a bowl, stir dry ingredients together.

In another large bowl, beat eggs and sugar together. Add the pumpkin and mix well. Add the oil and beat well.

Add dry ingredients and mix until combined. Stir in nuts if desired.

Pour batter into a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until a cake tester comes out clean.

This is more of a coffee cake than a dessert cake, but it can be frosted with cream cheese frosting to make it more of a dessert.
