2 c self-rising corn meal
2tsp. salt
1 c melted butter or margarine
2 c milk (not 2%

Beat eggs, add milk, salt, butter and mix. Then add cornmeal and stir just enough to mix. Bake at 450Funtil lightly browned, about 20 min. Set aside.

Make dressing as follows

1/4 lb. saltine crackers (crumbled)
1 recipe of cornbread, cooled and crumbled
2 c chopped celery
2 c chopped onion
1 loaf white bread (toasted)
1 tbs. poultry seasoning
1 tbs. black pepper
1 can EVAPORATED MILK
3/4 c butter or margarine
6 eggs
1 tbs. baking powder

Put all ingredients into a large bowl. Pour 9 (nine)cups of boiling hot turkey broth (can use chicken broth) over mixture and mash with potato masher until it is through mixed. Pour mixture into a baking dish and bake 30 to 40 min. at 450º

If stuffing is to be used inside turkey, only 3 cups of broth should be used.

Civic Center.It seems like a lot of work but it is well worth the time. It makes a tone so great for a crowd at Thanksgiving.
