4 c flour
5 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
1/2 c shortening (for fat-free biscuits, use applesauce--cuts in just like shortening)
3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together, flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in with pastry cutter until small crumbs - 1/2 c shortening. Stir in milk and knead lightly. Roll out about 1/2" thick. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Bake on cookie sheet at 450° for 10-12 minutes.
