1/2 cup sugar
2 cup all purpose flour
2 cup oatmeal
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
2 sticks margarine
Apricot jelly (or any other flavor)
1-2 Tbsp water
2 cups coconut (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 2 sticks of margarine. Add 1-2 tbsp water. Add first 5 ingredients. Mix. Press 2/3 of mixture into a 9 x 13" pan. Mix med. size jars of apricot jelly and 1 cup coconut (if you like) together. Spread onto a raw dough. Add 1/2 cup coconut to remaining batter. Sprinkle on or spoon on. Cook at 320º for 20-22 minutes.

Glaze:
Mix confectioners sugar and milk (enough to make it smooth). Pour over the cooked kuchen.

I love blackberry jam and that's what I use. I also use only 1 cup coconut and 1/2 cup of finely chopped pecans to the mixtures.
