Donna's Famous Kikkoman Chicken Recipe

Ingredients: 2/3 c Kikkoman soy sauce reg/or low sodium 4 tbls. honey 3 cloves minced garlic Little salt pepper and garlic powder to taste. (Keep in mind soy sauce is very salty) 6 chicken pieces. (leg quarters work best) 2 1/2 c rice 1 large cooking onion ALL INGRDIENTS ARE APPROXIMATE. YOU CAN FEEL OUT HOW MUCH WILL COVER THE CHICKEN.

Directions:Preheat Oven to 450º. Place rice on bottom of pan. Cover entirely with water. Place chicken on top of rice. Drizzle honey over all chicken pieces and then lightly pour Kikkoman over all individual pieces. After 30 mins., check progress. Add more water if necessary to prevent burning. Bake until chicken is tender/skin is slightly off the bone. Uncover last 10 mins for chicken to brown. Bake at 425 deg. |

Notes: Rice can be white or brown. Chicken can be skinned or not, but is better with skin. Double the rice if desired, as it is delicious and people tend to take extra. If so, make sure to add enough water to cover rice. Enjoy.
