In a bowl mix:
1 ¼ C flour
¾ white sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
¾ cup milk
3 TB melted butter

Mix lightly with a fork and put into a casserole dish or square pan (prepared w/ butter & flour)

Over the top of the batter:

Sprinkle:

1 Cup Brown Sugar
2-3 TB. Cocoa powder

Then, pour over the above dry mixture and onto a spoon first (so batter doesn’t dent) 2 cups very hot water.

Bake 350 degrees – 35-40 mins.
