1/2 c. butter, softened
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. all purpose flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 T. butter, melted
1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Powdered sugar, optional

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 deg. For pastry: In a medium bowl, beat together the 1/2 c. butter and cream cheese until combined. Stir in flour. Press 1 rounded teaspoon of the pastry evenly onto the bottom & up sides of 24 ungreased 1 3/4-inch muffin cups. For pecan filling: In a small bowl, combine egg, brown sugar and the 1 T. melted butter. Stir in pecans. Spoon 1 heaping teaspoon filling into each pastry-lined muffin cup. Bake 25 to 30 min until pastry is golden brown and filling is puffed. Cool slightly in pan on a wire rack. Carefully remove from muffin cups; cool completely on wire rack. If desired, sprinkle cookies with powdered sugar. Makes 24 cookies.
