2 c. flour
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. pitted cherries
2 T. melted butter
1 tsp. red food coloring
2 tsp. soda dissolved in 2 T. water
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts - chopped

Syrup:
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 T. flour
1 1/2 c. warm water
2 T. butter
1 tsp. red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, flour, eggs, and juice from cherries. Beat well. Add remaining ingredients and mix together. Bake 30 minutes at 350º.

Mix syrup ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour immediately over hot cake.
