6 large green peppers
1 lb ground beef
2 tbs onion chopped
3/4 c rice, cook separately (1 1/2 c cooked)
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 15oz can tomato sauce
3/4 c shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:
Directions:
cut widely around stem end of each pepper, remove stem, seeds and membranes. Rinse peppers. Cook peppers in boiling water (covering peppers) for 5 min and drain. Cook ground beef and onion in fry pan till beef is browned, drain grease. Stir in rice, seasonings and 1 c tomato sauce, heat through.
Stuff each pepper with beef mixture. Stand upright in oblong baking pan. Pour remaining sauce over top of peppers. Cover and bake 45 min. Sprinkle cheese over tops, uncover and bake 15 mins more.
