2/3 c. flour, sifted
1/3 c. cocoa
10 – 12 egg whites ( 1 ¼ c.)
1 tsp. crème of tarter
¼ tsp. salt
½ c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease and flour 10” tube pan. Sift flour and cocoa together 3 times. Beat egg whites until fluffy. Add crème of tarter and salt. Beat until very stiff peaks form. Slowly add sugar and vanilla. Gently fold in flour mixture a little at a time. Place batter in pan. Bake 1 hour or until tester comes out lean. Cool completely before removing from the pan.
