2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 stick margarine or butter
3 tablespoons cocoa
½ c vegetable oil
½ c. buttermilk
1 tsp. Vanilla flavoring
1 c. water
Pinch of baking soda
1 stick margarine
2 tbs. cocoa
½ box powdered sugar, (SIFTED, Very Important)
3 tbs. sweet milk
½ tsp. vanilla

DO NOT USE ELECTRIC MIXER. Combine Flour and sugar and sift together into a large bowl. Put margarine, cocoa, oil, and water in a pot and bring to a boil, stirring well with a spoon. Pour over sugar-flour mixture and stir with a fork. Then add buttermilk, eggs and flavoring to the mixture. Stir well. Add 1 pinch of baking soda and stir well. Pour into a 9 x 13 sheet cake pan. Bake 325 degrees for about 25 minutes. Check doneness by stitcking a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean, it's done.

Prepare icing while cake is baking. In saucepan, bring margarine, cocoa, and milk to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla, powdered sugar. Pour over cake while cake is hot.
