1- Large Cabbage
1- Pound bag egg noodles
1/2 package of bacon
Salt and Pepper
7 - cups water

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon and add the cabbage that has been coarsely chopped to the bacon grease, then add a cup of water and salt. Salt and pepper to taste. Steam cabbage until it is about 3/4 way done. In a large pot add 6 cups of water, bring to a boil, add egg noodles and cook until the noodles are about half done, Drain noodles, then add the cabbage and bacon grease to the pot of noodles. Take the bacon, crumble it, add to the pot and cook until the cabbage and noodles are done .

*This recipe is a Polish recipe from Pittsburgh the only difference is that they use butter up there to steam the Cabbage with, down here I use bacon and grease
